Property and Cancellation Policies

  • Cancellation Policy- Direct booking only:
    Confirmed bookings may be cancelled if intimation in writing reaches the company as per the following terms:
    All bookings can be cancelled up to 72 Hours prior on the day of arrival, in case of cancellation 10 percent of the total value of the booking will be charged as a retention charge and the balance amount will be refunded back to the source account with 14-21 working days. ​
    If cancelled in between 72 hours to the date of the arrival, no refund is applicable.
    All cancellations have to be either communicated to the hotel via an email on info@thehearthkodai.com or cancelled directly via the booking channel.
     

  • Booking.com & Agoda Cancellation Policy
    The booking comes under non-refundable policy.
    If cancelled at any time no refund is applicable.

     

  • Stay Date Change Policy: All bookings can be changed up to 168 Hours or 7 days prior on the day of arrival, the change in stay dates can be provided based on the availability of the room at the requested dates and the tariff will be charged based on the prevailing seasonal tariff for the stay dates requested.
    The seasonal tariff is available with the hotel reception.
    In any case the price change and date change are subject to the final discretion of the hotel based on the prevailing demand circumstances.

     

  • No show: In case of a no-show Total room rental for entire duration of stay will be charged as a retention charge. No refund will be done in case of no show.
     

  • Force Majeure:
    In case of any unforeseen circumstances such as natural calamity, lockdown or government restriction on travel to Kodaikanal we shall be happy to either cancel & refund the advance payment done by our patrons towards securing their reservation or postpone the reservation to a future date of their convenience. The choice will be left with our patrons & guests.
    Keeping with the business philosophy of serene and stress-free experiences we proactively extend this courtesy to our guests.
